We traveled to Chicago to pick up our friends Jay & Liz who had just flown into O Hare International Airport from The Netherlands.
It was a great day for travel and we always love taking the train.
After a nice dinner and some drinks, it was a short walk back to the station for the return home on The City Of New Orleans.
Ready for the car ride to Owensboro.
It was a bit of a culture shock for them coming from Amsterdam, to Chicago, then being dropped off in the middle of a street at a railroad crossing in Centralia, IL.
We we will be making the return trip to Chicago on the 29th.
Looking forward to doing some playing with friends at The Kinston Mines and B.L.U.E.S. on Halstead.
We will be posting updates.
Straight off the road from Chicago to JR's in Jasper.
This show featured Tommy, Jeroen, & Lary Cadell on Guitars, Big Jon Rochner on Bass and John Cadell on drums.
It was a blast rockin' with the folks in Jasper.
Saturday had us with our friends at The Pour Haus.
Tommy performed a duo with his old buddy Bobby Clark while friends and family from all over looked on.
Jay, Rod & Susie Wade, John & Susie Limp, with Sheila Pence on the end.
Liz was absent from the shot because she was behind the camera.
Mojo's Boneyard six year anniversary weekend celebrarion.
The Amazing Soul Crackers will be part of the anniversary festivities.
We are looking forward to having our Evansville area friends come out and party with us.
Come early, have a bite to eat, and stay for some Blues and classic favorites.
It's always a good time at Mojo's.
Joining Us Onstage:
Our friend Jeroen van Tuijl will be joining us for a few tunes before heading back to Holland.
Jeroen's work can be heard on "Jacobsville Jail" from Jonas Scott Cowan's CD release "Been There" as well as his band's latest release "Southern Comfort" which features Tommy Stillwell on guitars and some vocals.
- The Lincoln Amphitheater -
Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels
The Bobby Clark Band performed a rockin' forty minute set opening the show for this Rock & Roll icon.
It was a real pleasure playing The Lincoln Amphitheater.
Top notch venue from the the building to the staging and production crew.
Looking forward to a return in the future.
The Country was the setting for another great get together by Shaun and her band.
After a brief set, everyone got a chance to sit, have a few drinks and discuss upcoming plans.
It was a pleasure to work with Kevin McKendree onstage.
Kevin appears on Shaun Murphy's soon to be released album " Mighty Gates" wearing many hats. Aside from playing piano and organ, he also co produced and over saw the sessions at his studio, The Rock House.
Kevin keeps a pretty busy schedule so it was a rare treat to have him join us onstage for this performance.
Discovery Park Of America was the site of the Beer, Blues & Brats Festival.
Though the rain threatened early, the evening turned out to be very pleasant and the band played on.
What a fabulous venue this was. The entire staff and production crew was incredible, The crowd was wonderful, and the park was most entertaining.
This is a highly recommended visit for the entire family.
